What we extract from a Huntington statement
A Huntington business checking statement starts with a summary of five lines: Beginning Balance, Credits (+), Debits (-), Total Service Charges (-) and Ending Balance. Our Huntington template reads those first. Service charges are printed as their own line, net of any waived fees, and are not counted inside Debits.
Under the summary, the template reads Other Credits and Deposits as money in, and Other Debits and Checks as money out. Checks print two entries side by side on each row, and a * after a check number marks a gap in the sequence. Card purchases under Other Debits keep their masked-card line with the right row.
When a statement includes a Service Charge Detail section, it lists each charge and any waive, and the template files them as fees. The year is taken from the Statement Period footer, since Huntington prints dates as month and day only. Balance Activity lists dated balances rather than transactions, so it stays out of your export.
Huntington's summary sets the test: Ending Balance has to equal Beginning Balance plus Credits, less Debits, less Total Service Charges. We apply that to the rows we extracted. A pass is marked Balanced, and a fail shows the exact difference before anything is downloaded.
Exports and retention
Excel, QuickBooks CSV (3-column and 4-column), and Xero CSV, free up to 3 pages a day with no signup and no watermark. Scans, photos, and password-protected PDFs work, and your file is deleted the moment parsing completes: see our security page, or a sample export.
Huntington statement conversion: FAQ
Does this work with Huntington business checking statements?
Yes. The Huntington template was built on business checking statements. Personal and savings statements weren't among the ones it was calibrated on, so we don't claim them.
What if my Huntington PDF has more than one account in it?
More than one Beginning Balance or account line in the same file points to several accounts, so the conversion stops and leaves a note rather than blending them. Upload each account's pages as its own file.
Can I convert a scanned Huntington statement?
Yes. OCR is applied automatically to scans and to JPG or PNG photos. A misread digit in an amount can leave a small gap against the printed totals; the gap is shown before you download, and no amount is adjusted to hide it.
Is the free tier enough for Huntington statements?
Yes. Huntington business statements convert to Excel, QuickBooks CSV (3-column or 4-column), and Xero CSV on the free tier, with no signup, no watermark, and 3 pages a day.
