What we extract from a Regions Bank statement
Regions Bank is a checking-and-savings entry in our template library, built around the four sections a Regions deposit-account statement actually uses: Deposits & Credits, Withdrawals, Checks, and Fees.
Each of those four sections is read as its own signed group rather than one flat transaction list, so a check clearing your Regions account and a monthly fee both land as negative rows in your export the same way they print as reductions on the statement. You don't need to flip signs by hand afterward.
Those signed groups are added up and compared with the ending balance printed on the Regions statement, and any gap is shown to the cent before you export.
How far back Regions Bank statements go online
Regions keeps up to seven years of statements online for customers enrolled in Online Statements. Transaction history in online banking is much shorter: it starts with the most recent 90 days when you enroll and builds up to 18 months.
So for anything older than your online history, the statement PDF is the record Regions still gives you. Converting it turns those months into Excel, QuickBooks CSV, or Xero CSV rows instead of retyping them.

Do I have to tell you it's a Regions statement?
No. The converter recognizes the Regions Bank name printed on the statement and picks the Regions template by itself. If that template finds no transactions at all, the statement is read by our general parser instead, and the balance check still runs.
Does this work for Regions savings statements as well as checking?
Yes, both checking and savings statement layouts are supported.
My statement's heading just says "Deposits", not "Deposits & Credits". Does that matter?
No. The template accepts either heading, and "Withdrawal" as well as "Withdrawals", so a slightly different printing of the same section still lands as its own signed group.
Can I convert a scanned Regions statement?
Yes. Scanned PDFs and photos (JPG or PNG) of Regions statements are OCR'd automatically before extraction.
