What we extract from a Wells Fargo statement
Wells Fargo business statements start with a Statement period activity summary: the beginning balance, total deposits and credits, total withdrawals and debits, and the ending balance for the period. That summary is what our Wells Fargo template uses as the answer key.
The Transaction history table puts each transaction on one line with separate columns for the check number, Deposits/Credits, Withdrawals/Debits, and an Ending daily balance. The template reads the money columns by their position on the page, so a deposit, a withdrawal, and that day's closing balance never get mistaken for one another, and the daily balance never becomes a row in your export.
An overdrawn day prints a negative ending daily balance, and the template keeps that sign rather than flipping it. Filing stamps added on top of each page, like the ones on statements attached to court records, are dropped before anything is read.
Every deposit and withdrawal pulled from the Transaction history is netted against the beginning balance in Wells Fargo's activity summary, and the result has to meet the printed ending balance; when it doesn't, the dollar difference is on screen before you download.
How far back Wells Fargo statements go online
Wells Fargo keeps statements for deposit accounts, checking and savings included, available online for up to 7 years, and its business banking pages promise the same seven years of business documents.
That is plenty of history for a lender's request or a multi-year cleanup: download the months you need from Wells Fargo Online, then convert each PDF here.

Exports and retention
Excel, QuickBooks CSV (3-column and 4-column), and Xero CSV, free up to 3 pages a day with no signup and no watermark. Scans, photos, and password-protected PDFs work, and your file is deleted the moment parsing completes: see our security page, or a sample export.
Wells Fargo statement conversion: FAQ
Can you convert a Wells Fargo Combined Statement of Accounts?
Not as one file. A Combined Statement holds several accounts, and blending them would mix their balances, so the converter stops and tells you instead. Split the PDF so each account's pages are their own file, then convert them one at a time or with bulk upload on a paid plan.
Does it handle Wells Fargo business savings as well as checking?
Yes. Business savings statements use the same activity summary and Transaction history layout, just without a check number column, and the same template reads both.
What about Wells Fargo personal checking, like Everyday Checking?
The template is calibrated on the business layout. A personal statement can still be uploaded: if the template's numbers don't tie to the printed summary, the general parser gets its own attempt, with the same balance check on whichever result you see.
Do I pay anything to get a Wells Fargo statement into QuickBooks or Xero?
No. The free tier covers Excel, QuickBooks CSV in 3-column and 4-column form, and Xero CSV, with no account to create and no watermark.
